BREEZING LOVE (June 2003)
Oh!dear breeze from the hoary sea
What happened?
Your soothing chill touch is absent this day
Maybe, you are angry like me
Similar to the one that happened to me
Must have happened to you.
The flower whom you love to dance with
That flower by whose pride you feel aroused
That flower by whose wild fragrance your spirits rise
Must be ignoring you
Listening to the nearby grass
Fascinated by its speech
Which boasts about that transient dew
That settles on it at the early dawn.
Do not worry oh breeze!
The dew that settles on
That silly grass-untouched by cattle
May seem to enclose
The sun itself within
And may glow like a diamond
With spherical facets.
But do not worry oh breeze!
That dew lasts no longer
As the sun rises itself at the horizon
The glowing dew gets lost
In the air around
And leaving the filthy grass behind
To be trampled by the animals' feet.
Oh dear breeze!
That flower doesn't know
About your deeds.
You fill the hearts
Of people, baked by the hot sun
With pleasure and comfort
And are blessed "Long ye blow o'wind"
The flower may not understand
As it is not in dire need
Of your deed any time now.
Under the shadow of the tree
It grows, it feels no burning sun.
But that too ceases to be forever
As the autumn which the flower
Has not yet seen sets
The tree under which it grows,
Loses its leaves, leaving the flower unshaded
Then the flower will understand
How different and kind you feel
So worry not about your flower.
You have to wait.
But halt you not
Embrace your flower with the same love
And one day the autumn will come
And the flower will understand
You are a far worthy companion
Than that grass near it.
